It's important to note that all our headgear units are made to order, just like our entire collection, which means it takes 2 weeks to create your perfect piece.

10 mm PE foam. Interlocking design of padding pattern allows narrower margins, which gives 20% more fill thickness padding across the surface of the headgear. The Club Plus silhouette is designed to be a shorter fit along the cheek line, which makes it a better fit for some head shapes. In particular, children’s heads tend to grow out well before the elongate to match body growth. Shorter chinstrap on the smaller sizes for a better fit on children.

Headgear sizes are based on an individual’s head size, rather than age or body size. Measure your head to find your head circumference measurement then use the table below to select the best size. Headgear perform the best when they are the right fit, not so large that they slip around in play and not too tight. PRO TIP: Once you have received your headgear wear it in a warm (not hot!) shower – this allows the foam to mould nicely to your head shape.

How to measure

To get the best measurement for a headgear, use a tape measure or piece of string. Measure across the forehead going around the side of the head just above the tips of the ears and around the back of the head.

If in doubt please feel free to contact us with the measurement you get and we are more than happy to recommend the best size. Because headgear are made to order it’s very important that the size ordered is correct.

Custom scrum caps are created to order in the colours chosen. This process does come with a lead time of 2 weeks. Once your scrum cap is completed we will ship it on the shipping method chosen at the check out. The delivery times can be viewed in our shipping page here.

No. A scrum cap will not prevent a concussion per se but can reduce the severity of the impact to the point where it may reduce the likelihood of that impact resulting in a concussion.
